Question by Kitana: Video Game Addiction: Good Topic For Argumentive Paper?
For my english class paper I decided to use video game addiction as my topic but now I’m not so sure I can use it for an argumentive paper. I’m not sure what I can argue within this topic. Not even too sure if there is even anything to argue. Not asking someone to write my paper for me, just asking if someone can tell me what argument I can form with this topic. Please help.

Sure, you can argue whether or not it’s a REAL addiction (like alcohol or gambling). I’m sure some would argue that it’s not an addiction, just something people like a lot. You don’t elaborate on what your topic is, but if it is simply to argue something, you definitely could do whether video game addiction is valid or not and what factors were part of your decision.

You can argue anything as long as you bring proof. One argument you could use is “that people get so involved in video games they can forget important things”. This is true I play video games and this happens to me. While your playing video games you barely get hungry, sleepy, and even to the point where some people even lost the urge to use the bathroom (that doesn’t happen to me).
Another argument you could use is “video gaming is a new a powerful drug” ( if you use this one don’t forget to bring up that video games are legal and hit teenagers and young adults most).
