I havent always been a bright spark, ive chosen BTEC applied science in school, and it says you need to identify social issues that are linked to each effect:
Alcohol
Drugs
Diet
Smoking
i have no clue about any of them? can anyone help please, it will be muchly appriciated.

by social issues…you could talk about addiction/obsession with each of the above, for example: drug addiction
how the media portrays each, for example: young celebs drinking and partying/being super skinny
current issues, like i think theres a debate in the states about whether or not to lower the drinking age? or health affects from smoking
the reasons why some people may turn to abusing alcohol or drugs, or why they may begin smoking (including depression or peer pressure)
buy a newspaper today and look at every headline…if you see anything about any of your topics, read it and learn alittle more about it. it may spark and idea!
