Please support the upcoming 2013 recovery film for women and girls. “Deacon’s Choice” is a parallel trickle effect? story of the life of an ex-Chicago politician and his daughters roller coaster journey through addiction. Selective Serotonin Reuptake? Inhibitors, Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors, Tricyclics, do tend to work on Serotonin. “feeling good” is a bit more complex look at the Benzodiazepines, work almost exclusively on GABA and have little, if anything, to do with serotonin and they “feel good” 🙂 You’re right, MOST true antidepressants work on serotonin. As a side, we don’t quite know what cases ADHD, they can’t really “see” which neurotransmitters save it has something to do with the prefrontal cortex.
right? except it’s serotonin, not dopamine. dopamine defficiency = ADHD, serotonin = depression. and people with depression produce enough serotonin, it just doesn’t bind properly, which is why they use reuptake inhibitors, so serotonin can bind more efficiently. if they didn’t produce enough serotonin, they would be using drugs like MDMA rather than SSRI’s.
You’re oversimplifying the issue…with depression medication for example, there are those who aren’t simply “sad” because of things going on in their lives (we all get that) but rather have a physical, neurological disorder which prevents (as an example) dopamine from binding effectively, or prevents the brain from producing enough. Without meds these people are literally physically incapable of living a happy fulfilled? life, they are neurologically being FORCED into depression.
Even the doctors are being fed so much bs or money no one can believe them, sell sell sell.? Keep an eye on how many you have lol if you are on the drugs you hide them like treasure saying only for people that get addicted that is.
